This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine you have an assignment for class, but it requires construction paper, glue, specialty scissors, and colored pencils, and you know you do not have those items at home. Where can you go? Well to Lunch Club of course!
During Lunch Club, students are able to come up to our classroom and use all the amazing supplies we've had donated throughout the years: construction paper, glue, specialty scissors, colored pencils, markers, stencils, and more!
Having snacks available during Lunch Club will encourage and allow students the time they need to complete their project, but still be able to eat. Students shouldn't have to choose between whether wanting to eat or being able to finish their schoolwork. We allow them to do both.
