Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach fifth grade at a K-6 elementary school in the Central Valley of California. My students are growing up together in a small, tight-knit neighborhood school. I have diverse learning needs throughout my classroom, but all of my students are eager, enthusiastic, and innovative despite their Title I status. They enjoy collaborative, hands-on projects and working together to accomplish a goal.

My fifth graders need pencils, colored pencils, glue sticks, and snacks for end-of-the-year testing.

These supplies will keep my students prepared and organized for the end of the year. As fifth-graders, it is really important to instill executive functioning skills to carry them to adulthood.

We also need snacks to keep us energized for end-of-the-year testing.
