My Project

These high schoolers are also growing teenagers who participate in extracurricular activities, work part-time jobs, and serve our community in many ways. But, each day, my students come to class every day ready to engage in learning.

Teenagers are hungry.

Sometimes, they are distracted by hunger which keeps them from fully engaging.

To help, I keep a stash of snacks in my file cabinet for easy access. They know they can get to whenever they need a boost to their blood sugar. I am happy to be able to provide this sustenance for them. It is a no-judgment zone. Especially my students of low economic status, my students who closely manage their blood sugar, and my student-athletes who have to run to practice after school. Please help me keep this stocked for the spring semester.
