My Project
This project is created to assist with providing snacks for the different clubs I sponsor and/or assist with.
Imagine going home on Fridays and unsure what your meals will consist of during the weekend.
This project will assist with continuing provided weekend bags to the students in need at our school. The bags will consists of items which do not require lots of prep such as nutri grain bars, popcorn, juice, pop tarts, yogurt, apple sauce, takis, chips, water, and spaghetti. This will ensure students have food to hold them over the weekend. No child should go hungry due to being away from school for the weekend.
We provide after school tutoring for our students twice a week. To help encourage students to attend and participate actively we have started selecting a star student weekly from each after school tutorial class. The selective students are given a certificate and a treat such as candy, chips, or cookies. The juicy drops, airheads, takis, cookies, and chips will help us to continue to provide this incentive to our students. When students are present and actively working to master standards, the higher chances they will be successful.
The last club I sponsor are the Safety Patrols. We meet twice a month to complete a community service task. Prior to meeting each student receives a snack. So the snacks asked for are also to provide for them since they are staying an extra hour and a half after school ends. I know students function better on a full stomach.
