Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am very fortunate to work with students in 3rd grade who are always very happy and excited about going to school.
I enjoy their positive attitude, hard work, and determination.
They have their struggles but come to me determined to reach their goals. My students come from a school that is 100% on free lunch. I work with students in whole group and small groups to help them stay on track. My goal is to make sure they don't fall behind in their learning and try to get them ahead. I love working with my students.
My Project
It is very difficult to concentrate when you are hungry and trying to complete your work. Towards the end of the day, the students begin to get a little hungry and start loosing focus on the lesson and their work.
A quick little snack break will allow the students to focus for the rest of the day.
This project will allow me to offer my students a snack break in order to regain their focus and not worry about being hungry. I have also included popcorn that we can use with our popcorn machine in order to teach the 5 senses and providing a delicious freshly popped popcorn at the same time!
