Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will be for several WIN period enrichment activities. We do The Science of SELf Care weekly where we use natural ingredients to take care of yourselves. We have learned how to make our own toothpaste, face washes and masks. We are doing many enrichment crafts like resin, wood burning and creating our won jibits.

As a teacher in a low-income school district, I want to provide all I can for my students to have the most memorable educational experience.

Our students come from very diverse backgrounds. We have over 1000 students in our school. Over 80% of them are receiving free or reduced-price lunches daily. Over half of the student body is Latino and we have an extremely large ESL population. Over 35% of my students are classified as special needs.
