Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Have you ever had to learn on an empty stomach? My students often come to school with an empty stomach. I work in a title-one public school with 100 percent free lunch. My students will often tell me they had nothing for breakfast and their tummies hurt. I would love to have a snack shop for those days when my students tell me they have nothing to eat at home. I buy snacks for them but, unfortunately, my funds don't reach too far and by mid-year, I'm all out. These snacks will help my students to focus on learning. They will provide some comfort and allow them to flourish.
