This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of our students have IEPs, are English language learners and or are new immigrants. Every day our student's face many challenges in and out of school.
Nevertheless, they strive to make each day count and show up to learn.
They are entering high school for the first time and navigate the experience with a positive and inspiring attitude. Snacks help students to engage and build community within the classroom.
Creating a welcoming environment from day one will ensure our students are engaged for the whole day.
My Project
My students work hard from day one of the year and often need something to re-energize for learning. These snacks will aide them to stay energized and engaged throughout the day.
Your donation will provide healthy snacks for all of our students.
Any human has a difficult time engaging and learning when hungry. Often students miss the free breakfast and the mornings can be grueling when they are hungry.
If we can provide them with the smallest thing like a morning or afternoon snack to have while they are in class or working on their homework, they will be able to stay focused and continue to be successful.
