My Project

My elementary school is located in a high poverty area of Las Vegas, Nevada. One hundred percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. They come from extremely diverse backgrounds, and they struggle with behavior, academics, and some with second language acquisition.

I want to make sure every student has a yummy snack each day.

Having snacks in the classroom that are nutritious and fun will keep my students on task and motivated to learn. The snacks such as crackers, fruit snacks, and Cheez-Its will be given each day. The fun snacks like lollipops will be used as an incentive for good classroom behavior. I want to reward that with a little something extra to keep encouraging that behavior!
