My Project

I teach in a Title I public school in upstate New York. All of my students receive free breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack each day. My class is a K-2 8:1:1 self-contained special education class with students who have a wide range of delays, including speech and language delays, or intellectual disabilities. Their learning needs are a wide range as well. Many of my students are at a pre-kindergarten or kindergarten level. A few also use communication devices.

We are in need of restocking our snack supply, and some various other materials to help us with our learning!

Theraputty is used for building muscle hand strength, and used to help us calm our bodies when we're experiencing big feelings, the playdoh and markers are used during centers and writing time, and the microphones are used to encourage communication skills.
