My Project
My 3rd-grade students will need all the help they can get to settle in after Hurricane Ian desecrated our city. Many of our school families have lost everything. As a Title 1 school, many of our students already come from homes where snacks cannot always be provided.
This year was supposed to be our "return to normal year" after two years of dealing with the pandemic. Our students have been through so much, and now they are having to endure the aftermath of this natural disaster.
Offering students a simple snack is a small way to offer solace and hope by helping them to feel some normalcy during these challenging times.
