My students are vocational education students who leave their home school for a half day Cosmetology program. These students are in their 2nd year of the program and upon completion will graduate high school this year.
My students are diverse mix of ladies coming from many different home school districts.
Students will take the NYS Boards leading them to a Cosmetology License. Many are going on to college or the service with this valuable trade in their back pocket.
My Project
My students have been working extremely hard in the cosmetology program. This is their second year of a 2 year program and much of their year last year was spent learning from home. We have been lucky to be in school and in full swing for most of this year!
Nutrition is important so I would like to have protein shakes and bars as well as other snacks available to my students as needed.
Some of them have a very long bus ride from their home school and don’t have time for a lunch in their schedule.
In addition, We like to hang motivational quotes around the room. These coloring books will be used to give us more material for motivational quotes which promote inclusivity, positivity and diversity. They will be able to choose one to color and display at their work station.
