My students come from a high poverty, inner-city school district. My students come to school all day, every day. That is a long day for preschoolers ages 3-5. After nap time, they are hungry and still have 2 more hours until it is time to go home. Many of my families have food insecurity and may not have healthy snacks at home. My preschool babies need healthy snacks to give them the energy to complete their school day.
I would like to provide them a few snack choices such as chips, cookies and juices to help them continue with their school day to learn to their best ability without a grumbling belly.
We also need classroom cleaning supplies and art supplies to create fantastic works of art such as Lysol spray, tissues, plug ins and foam paint to make sure our classroom continues smelling good, neat, clean and full of color for our scholars.
