Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our middle school lunch period is at 1:00 PM and our school day starts at 8:00 in the morning. We have noticed that providing students with a snack increases student focus and work production throughout the morning time. Due to living circumstances and/or late arrival to school, some of our students do not get a chance to eat a proper breakfast prior to starting the day.
Our teacher team would like to continue providing a light snack and break for our middle school students, however, due to school funding the option was not provided to us this year.
