Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students are full of life most times, but often I see them snacking on foods with empty calories such as Takis and Doritos.

It is important for their development that they are offered better choices that won't zap their energy.

Snacks are supposed to give us a boost and these variety packs will do just that without weighing students down with sodium and preservatives. It is critical for students to know what they are putting in the bodies so choosing snacks that have labels that will make them feel good about that should be provided. Often times, my students are hungry and mostly left with unhealthy options. As an educator that values health, I want to ensure I am able to provide them healthier alternatives to fuel their minds and bodies.
