Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 3rd graders are starving by lunch. Many leave the house in the morning without having breakfast for a multitude of reasons. While my school provides food for many students, we still have rumbling tummies in the classroom!

By filling a child's heart by loving them and their stomach by feeding them, their mind will be ready to focus on learning.

Students are able to bring snacks from home to eat, but most of my students do not have anything to bring. I want to have plenty of options for snacks so that all students have the same access to nutritional food. Some of the snacks that I am requesting include pretzels, cereal, fruit snacks, chips and apple sauce crackers. Long days at school are already hard enough for children without being hungry.
