My Students

Our rural, remote, Title I school is very unique. We have students from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and races. Some students are learning English for the very first time. Some students are very talented when it comes to learning, some require special education, and some students are working their hardest to give their best.

Each morning, students greet us and each other with high-fives and hugs.

We are truly blessed by the relationships that are built within our tiny community. Our students are the builders of tomorrow and the teachers, scientists, farmers, mothers, fathers, doctors, engineers, dreamers, and doers of the future.

Seeing students engaged and deeply involved in their own education is a great joy to me. I strive to provide hands-on learning experiences in a safe environment where students are free to explore, make real-world connections, and see their knowledge grow and expand! Knowing that failing is a step towards success relieves our students from being fearful to try, and great things happen because of their growth mindset!

My Project

This project brings snacks to our classroom, to keep our minds focused on learning, and not on our growling bellies! Hunger distracts my students from learning, but having snacks to help curve that hunger helps them focus and do better in class. I was lucky enough to get snacks donated over the summer, but just as many supplies are this time of year, our snack supply is running low.

Please help me continue to feed the minds and bodies of my students, so we can learn at our fullest potential!
