My Students

Our multi-age classroom is a community of learners and growers. We spend two years with our students guiding them and watching them blossom. We emphasize working together and being a community. Each student helps one another and learns in the best way, by teaching others.

Our students are an amazing and diverse group of third and fourth graders.

They come from high poverty areas. School is often their comfort place and provides food as well as stability. The school is Title I funded. Our classroom is like a community, and we want the students to feel comfortable and safe while learning.

My Project

My students need snacks to eat through out the day and to take home at night to help them stay focused. Many of our students go without a snack through out the day and are hungry. It is very hard to concentrate when you're hungry. A snack would help the students to stay motivated during the day. A snack to take home would help them sleep better at night. These are essentials that many of my students go without. We would be very thankful for the opportunity to provide them a snack when they are hungry. A little bit of food to fill their belly could go a long way in helping them be successful.
