Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing snacks will help address hunger, which is a significant barrier to focus and learning, especially for students in a low-income community. Many of my students come to school without eating breakfast or may not have consistent access to nutritious food at home. Hunger makes it difficult for them to concentrate, process information, and stay engaged in lessons. By ensuring they have access to snacks, I can help them stay focused, energized, and ready to learn throughout the day.
My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students—regardless of their circumstances—can focus on learning without the distraction of hunger.
I want to support their academic growth by ensuring they have the energy and ability to engage fully in lessons. Additionally, I aim to build their confidence and sense of security by showing them that their well-being matters. We also need books and storage bins for our class store items.
