This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are new students to middle school (6th grade). Coming into a new school and making new friends can be scary and challenging. I want to make the transition to middle school easier for them by providing them with necessary basic needs that they might not have access to so that students can focus on their learning and successes instead. Please help me help my students learn in a supportive and nurturing school environment!

My Project

These snacks will help my students to re-focus in class and fuel their stomachs during after school programs that start immediately after the school day is over. Snacks will be provided to students so that they can learn without the distraction of growling stomachs.

Providing snacks is a small, yet effective way to help students' health, brains for engagement, stomachs, and to feel encouraged for their hard work.

Students are provided school lunches, but for some, it is not enough for the entire school day. Help me help my students feel like their needs are met and provide snacks(fuel) for their brains and bodies. Thank you in advance for considering donating to our students for their success!
