This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Sixth graders start middle school scared, disoriented, and full of energy.
Our school serves a diverse group of students.
We are a Title I school and are always looking for ways to better support and motivate our students.
Our students are creative, expressive, friendly, and really value their interpersonal relationships. They need immediate feedback, attention, and a supportive environment. Some love sports, many enjoy memes, and all can achieve with the appropriate scaffolds.
My Project
Thanks to donors like you, students have had allergy-friendly snack options in the morning. To be honest, sometimes, if there's a student having a hard time focusing because they skipped eating/ didn't eat that day, that student might wind up having a snack during the school day, too.
Kids need to eat, and kids like food that tastes good.
None of these snacks will be used in any particular lesson, but they will (hopefully) help give students some nutrition that will help them focus and retain information while in class.
