Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school works to unite students and have them collaborate through a student council organization. This club meets regularly to plan events, discuss changes they'd like to see in the school, and communicate with each other.
Because we have a mixed schedule of students in grades 9-12 participating in student council, and students have lunch periods at different times, it's difficult to coordinate all of them in one place at one time, but one thing that always unites and encourages student participation is food.
This project is seeking a healthy snack supply that can be consumed throughout the school year when our student council club meets, so it's one less thing to have to raise money for and take out of the budget that we would like to spend on making our school a better place.
