Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have wonderful high school students who are recovering credits they need for graduation. They are growing 10th, 11th and 12th graders and they are often hungry. When students are hungry, they have a difficult time learning. Snacks can wake them up, help them focus and sustain them until their next mealtime. A bag of Cheeze-It’s or Pringles or a Pop-Tart can get them through the morning or afternoon. My students are very special. They are a diverse group of students who have overcome challenges and have made graduating high school a priority.
