Kid President once said, "Be somebody, who makes everybody feel like a somebody." My students are second graders at a public school in Michigan. They are a very diverse group of students that come from many different cultures and speak many different languages.
Our classroom family works together to support each other's learning, and makes everybody feel like a somebody.
When it comes to our education we hold each other accountable and encourage the best out of everyone. We continue to show a growth mindset and an eager attitude to learn.
My Project
With your support I would love to start off the school year with lots of healthy snacks for my second grade scholars.
"Right now 1 in 5 students are unaware of where their next meal is coming from." As a teacher, it is my job to give my students all of the tools to be successful.
The last thing that they need to worry about in my room is food. I want to be able to offer my students healthy snacks throughout the day so that they can stay focused on what is truly important. "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
