My Project

I teach the most amazing and unique second graders around! My classroom is very diverse, including English language learners, special education students, and students receiving speech, language, or behavioral support. What unites us as a community is that each child comes to school with a deep desire to create, solve problems, and learn. This project is for a variety of snacks.

Having a snack during the school day has a positive effect on students' engagement and learning.

Some kids can't focus if they are hungry and some even become agitated or grouchy. I want to provide snacks for the students who may not be able to bring one from home each day or students who simply cannot afford them. I have included juice, crackers, Slim Jims, and Rice Krispie treats, and Fruit snacks. These are snacks my students will enjoy. Thank you for your interest in my project.
