My Project

I work in a wellness center in a middle school, and the number one most requested resource is snacks. Many students come to school having not eaten anything and experience headaches, stomachaches, and other ailments or have trouble focusing. Having snacks available not only helps kids stay focused and safe in school but can also help de-escalate students in crisis.

Having snacks that are healthy, tasty, and easily accessible is key to cultivating a sense of safety and belonging at school.

When kids have snacks available, they feel taken care of, supported, and part of a caring community.
