I teach at a Title I school where children often don't always have enough to eat at home. They do get breakfast and lunch provided, but often they get hungry during the day. I try to provide snacks that will help them stay focused. They earn the snacks as a reward for doing jobs.
Snacks provided help students stay focused and learn.
It also promotes a sense of belonging and care that help me develop relationships with the students. I often spend my own money, but am grateful for donors when I can get them.
