Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a small public arts based school in the Bronx, NY. With such a long day (8:15-5:00) our students get so hungry throughout the day. Even though 100% of our students qualify for free-lunch, one meal a day is not enough to keep their energy up! We are often here late completing college applications, financial aid documents and scholarship essays. Some students are just trying to catch-up with graduation requirements and state exams.
Please help me provide them with snacks to support their continued success so they can concentrate and work hard.
