My Project
My students are motivated and have the best intentions of coming to school and learning. Often they come to school ill-prepared. They come to school without their lunches and, most often, come without a snack.
How can we expect anyone to learn on an empty stomach.
School lunches are sometimes not enough, especially if they forget their lunch money. We go to the last lunch, which means that they will go over 4 hours without eating anything. I want my students to have a midday snack at their recess time. I provide what I can, but often my efforts come up short. We are simply asking for the basic essentials.
