This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Pulling students from all grade levels, I often hear little ones complain about being hungry, not having a snack, and requesting a treat from me. At times, they want a break from all the learning and enjoy a snack before proceeding to our lesson. I have even noticed at times, being hungry prevented them from focusing in class and completing counseling activities. Sometimes, they just need a little sugar boost as a pick-me-up. School can be very stressful. Think about it, you are 5-9 years old learning many different subjects for about 5-6 periods per day.
