This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach first grade at a Title I school that serves an incredible group of energetic, curious, and resilient students. At six and seven years old, children are growing quickly — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. A mid-morning snack plays a crucial role in helping them maintain focus, regulate their energy, and stay engaged during our most academically demanding parts of the day, like reading centers.

Every child deserves to learn with a full heart and a nourished body.

A small snack during morning recess makes a real difference — giving my students the fuel they need to learn, grow, and enjoy their day. While many come ready to learn, some arrive too late for school breakfast or without having eaten at all. Your support helps ensure that every child, regardless of circumstance, has what they need to thrive.
