My Project

The majority of students in my school have a low socioeconomic status. They come from families that are barely scraping by and living from paycheck to paycheck. This makes it difficult for families to provide snacks for our classroom.

These snacks will help my students with food insecurities that stem from not having enough food at home.

This has a huge impact on learning. When students have their basic needs met they are able to focus on other things like learning. This will help tremendously with academics throughout the year.
