My Project
Around 1:30 my students get hangry they are not focused on learning and become very fidgety. Although we have a snack in the morning, many students complain all day long about being hungry. Students often refuse to do work and become argumentative with each other and with staff in the building.
Having snacks available for students when they are hungry will help my students stay focused during the day and will let them learn without the distraction of being hungry.
Having a snack bowl that is available to students all day long will help students be able to curb their hunger as it happens just like we would as an adult.
I tried to find healthier snacks to show my students that cookies and chips are not the only snack options and we can find snacks that help us get our fruits and veggies into our daily lives. The storage containers will help us keep the snacks stored in a way so they will not get crushed and will be easy to rotate/ access the snacks when we need them.
