Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I don't know if you guys have seen public school cafeteria food lately, but it does not look great. So when my kids decide not to eat it, even though they do not have anything else to eat with them, I cannot really blame them.

A lot of my kids rely on local food pantries and donations for their meals.

They all have free lunch at school, but when that does not look very edible, what are they going to do? Because of this fact, I try to provide some type of snack for them in my room. This can be as simple as a granola bar or peanut butter crackers. As you can imagine, this can get expensive with 100 students, especially when you are talking about middle schoolers who would eat constantly if you let them.

This project will help me provide those snacks for them for at least half of the year (or at least a quarter of the year, if we are honest).
