This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with students and parents and at times students come to me sharing they're hungry or thirsty. Many of the students I work with have issues with food insecurity and many others choose to snack on foods that are not school appropriate (high in sugar and very processed). Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, we know food is listed as one of the physiological needs required in order for students to function.
I need to restock my current snack pantry for the students I serve as we have run out of snacks.
Help me continue to be able to provide the students at this school healthy snacks so they are better able to succeed throughout their day.
