My Students

My students face a variety of challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Despite said challenges, they enter the building each day eager to learn. My students and I, work as a team to develop an atmosphere conducive to learning which is simultaneously challenging and secure.

The environment my students and I develop, allows my students to tap into their full potential and acknowledge that they are important members of our community.

Daily, I am able to see the growth in my students' social, emotional and academic skills. With your help, I will be able to provide my students with enriching materials which will allow this growth to continue.

My Project

Due to COVID regulations, my students do not have a lunch period. My students spend the entire day in the classroom. They arrive at 8 o'clock and receive their lunch until dismissal at 1 o'clock. Daily, we have a fifteen minute snack period in which my students take the time to eat a snack. They use this time to break up the morning and transition their minds from math to reading. Several of my students do not bring snacks from home.

My students are in need of snacks such as granola bars, crackers and cookies to keep their minds fueled throughout their long morning.

With your help my students will have better attention spans, higher concentration levels and smiles throughout the day! Hunger is hard to ignore. Providing my students with these snacks, will allow them to focus on what is most important... learning and growing!
