Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students spend every day working together to better themselves! We are an urban school located in the lower state of South Carolina. While at school, my students participate in many activities. These include rigorous academics, artistic programs, and athletic teams. Over 75% of families who attend our high school come from low income households. Each student that attends my school receives free breakfast and lunch.

Our basketball teams are comprised of 47 of the hardest working students on campus.

These students work diligently to get better at their craft and are truly student athletes. Can you help me provide materials for them to reach their goals?

My Project

I am requesting crackers, cookies, and other snacks for our basketball teams. This donation will provide food for our students so they will be ready to compete! Many of my students are unable to afford the extra expenses that come with playing a school sport. Having snacks available during basketball games and tournaments will allow them to save money on purchasing food on the way to their games.

Currently, our basketball coaches are paying for team snacks through their personal money.

I love that they have such dedication to their students and would like to be able to take care of this burden for them. Thank you for considering our basketball teams through Donors Choose!
