Snacks, rich in complex carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, provide a steady source of energy throughout the day. This can help prevent dips in energy levels and improve overall productivity and alertness in the classroom. Snacks provide a steady source of energy throughout the day. Low-income students may face challenges in accessing and affording a well-balanced diet.

Providing snacks can bridge nutritional gaps and ensure they receive essential nutrients for growth and development. Regular consumption of healthy snacks can also help reduce the risk of diet-related health issues, such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
