Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having food is an important part to life and is something that we all need, but sadly its not always the most accessible. In my school more than half of the students that attend come from low income households, and also qualify for free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Even after breakfast and lunch I still have students tell me that they are still hungry. That is why I have set up this project so that I can be able to provide snacks for my students.
These snacks include apple sauce, granola bars, fruit cups, fruit snacks, pretzels, and much more!
Having a full stomach can help students to focus and give them energy. Not only will you be helping feed their stomachs, you will also be helping with their focus and energy. These snacks will be available for all my students whenever they are needing a little extra something to eat.
