Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first-grade classroom consists of students from diverse backgrounds. All the students in my class receive free lunch. With the diversity of backgrounds and economic status many of my students are unable to bring a snack for school. An empty stomach makes it difficult for students to stay focused on learning.
Providing my students with a small daily snack will increase their energy and improve their focus so that they can learn!
When a basic need is not met for my students, these small snacks can make such a huge difference.
