My students are in need of snacks to support their basic needs during the school day. Hunger is a real issue in my school, with 100% of students qualifying for Free Lunch.
While we serve both breakfast and lunch at school, these may be the only meals students consistently get during the day.
The snacks I am requesting will supplement the free meals provided to my students. As growing children, they are often tired and irritable when they are hungry. Hunger should never be a barrier to education, and with these snacks, it won't be! Students will be able to take snacks home with them to eat. Backpacks included in this project will be used to send home snacks over the weekend with student. Paper towels will be used to serve hygienically.
