My Project

ur school is located in a suburban environment and supports the learners that have a difficult time being successful in their home schools. The majority of the students in the Freshman Academy are from low-income households. Many of the students have difficult arrangements and do not express their needs because they do not want to be embarrassed. Most of my students come from single-parent households which require them to assist their parents in various ways. In spite of the obstacles, my students are stars! They come to school and perform their very best! As a teacher, I'm always flexible and accommodating to provide eccentric in-class opportunities to help them develop into life-long learners.

Many students come to school hungry because they lack the food resources at home.

The school provides free breakfast and lunch, but often is not enough to sustain the growing teenagers. Having drinks and food items will help them stay fueled and on-task.

Hunger should never impede a student from learning in school.

I want my students to be successful learners by being engaged and focused. Please help me provide my students with snacks to help them learn and continue to be life-long learners. All students deserve a chance to be successful learners and hunger should not be an obstacle!
