One area my students struggle with is being kind and compassionate. For the last four years my classroom has had three gecko lizards. When the students arrive at school, they look for the geckos to clean their cage, and feed them. They are excited daily to check-in and monitor the lizards overall wellness. By caring for the geckos it has taught the students responsibility, compassion and gentleness. The compassion and gentleness has carried over into the classroom. The students are learning how to be kind and respectful to each other and others outside of school. The donations for this project will help my students improve their social-emotional, behavioral, and educational skills. Please help me to get my students the supplies they need for a larger habitat for the lizards.
