My Project

My middle school students are energetic, creative, and diverse learners who thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported. Many come from varied cultural backgrounds, and our classroom serves as a place of belonging where each student is valued. My goal is to create an environment that nurtures their academic growth while also addressing their social and emotional needs.

As adolescents, they often face challenges both inside and outside the classroom that can affect their ability to focus and engage fully in their learning.

By providing healthy snacks and encouraging self-care routines, I aim to support their well-being and ensure they feel ready to learn.

In order to meet the holistic needs of my students, I am requesting funding for healthy snacks and self-care materials. Snacks like granola bars, fresh fruit, and crackers will give students an energy boost during the school day, particularly for those who might not have access to consistent meals at home. This simple gesture can make a big difference in their ability to concentrate, participate, and feel cared for.

Additionally, I’m requesting self-care items such as stress-relief tools (like fidget toys or stress balls), calming teas, and mindfulness resources to help students manage anxiety and emotions. These materials will contribute to a classroom environment where students feel grounded and equipped to tackle both academic and personal challenges.
