Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A common language for anyone - no matter who they are, where they come from, or where they're going - is FOOD! Food is fuel and power for the brains. When it comes to 6th graders, they are heavily incentivized by food and prizes, in return for great participation, amazing work, and an eager motivation to keep on learning. Please help us build our shelves with food for the brains and for the soul.
Snacks will also be provided in our after-school program, reaching 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, immediately after the school day is over.
We are a title I school, where most of our students rely on school-provided food. By the time it reaches 2:40, students are already hungry and are asking, "Can I have a snack?" or "Do you have anything I can eat? I'm starving." Teachers will try to best to give what they can. By donating to this, you are truly helping young minds engage with full bellies in anything that they do. Thank you in advance for considering us! We are truly thankful and grateful for such a giving community that is willing to build up the future generations to come!
