My Project
These materials will continue to enhance the support that I strive to provide to the student members of our school's Multi-Cultural Club. Most members of this club are new Americans or new to New York when they join. As club advisor, I create a warm, welcoming, safe environment in the club. Students openly share their personal struggles.
Most members of this club struggle with food insecurity and do not have the money for basic personal care supplies or weather gear.
It breaks my heart to hear students discuss their hunger, their discomfort and their embarrassment. Please help me provide my students with snacks, personal care supplies, and weather gear. Hopefully, this will enable my students to focus on academics and adjust to life in New York.
