My Students

Our students are creative, think outside the box, are willing to try new things, and are always thinking about their careers. As an enrichment facilitator, I really enjoy encouraging their ideas for projects and potential business ideas. We also enjoy having the ability to take the tools in our CollabLab, Maker Studio, and Robotics Studio into classrooms so that students can use them to extend their learning beyond the regular education curricula.

Learning never stops for these students, and they are always finding new topics to explore in relation to their own goals or their favorite classes in our school.

We want them to have opportunities to explore STEM concepts in authentic contexts, and they continue to amaze us with the different ways in which they choose to impact the world with their projects. We strive to offer students ways to explore the intersection of art, math, creative writing, science, and their passion projects as a means to channel negative thoughts or stress into something positive.

My Project

As the winter and the pandemic continue, we need to restock snack bars, masks, and cleaning wipes to keep our students healthy. With the changing situation, there are items that we have run out of.

It is important that our classroom is clean and safe so that students can focus on their work.

We have requested electronics cleaning wipes to ensure that shared iPads and robotics equipment can be properly cleaned in between uses. We have requested assorted snacks to keep students full, so they can focus on projects and learning instead of feeling hungry. Many times, students work with us during breakfast or lunch, so we like to have things on hand in case they need to grab something and go. The paint is for a project meant to help focus nervous or negative energy on something positive, which is important for mental health. Thank you for supporting our class!
