My Project
I work with an amazing group of students! They are an incredibly diverse group, with 50% being English language learners. They are entering the classroom with a wealth of knowledge and unique experiences. This group is full of kind, thoughtful, curious, and highly motivated scholars who are eager to learn more about themselves and the world around them.
Our third graders are getting ready to take state tests, and we want to offer them encouragement, sustenance, and options for coping with testing jitters.
They have been working hard all year. They've done the work, and now it's time to show what they've learned, which is a lot of pressure. We want to make sure our students, who are testing for the first time, feel the love and encouragement they need to be successful and know that their hard work is valued. This project includes snacks and testing tools (pencils and erasers), that we will attach to motivational phrases to get them feeling confident and prepared. Additionally, because many students have been feeling some stress around testing, we want to provide each of them with a stress fidget to help them navigate big feelings.
