My students have a desire to learn. They come to school eager for knowledge and look to me, as their teacher, to provide it.
Most of my students come from low income or single-parent families.
Many of my students do not have the basic tools and supplies they need for a typical school day. My students are very energetic and want to learn.
Our school is in a constant battle to get our students the basic necessities they need to become successful scholars.
My Project
These before and after school snacks will help my students with their focus to 'feed their brains'! Many of my students do not arrive to school on time and unfortunately they miss their opportunity to eat free breakfast at school. Having some healthy before school snacks available to those students who come to school late will come in handy and help my students get their brains and bodies ready to learn.
It would also be wonderful to send my students home with a healthy snack after school day to ensure they stay focused while they complete their after school activities and homework.
