This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a Title I school, which means many of my students are at or below the poverty level. But make no mistake - these students are amazing: kind, hard working, generous - they just need a little bit of help!

This project helps provide my classroom with food they can have at lunch or take home if they are food insecure.

This project also provides fun candy, which kids are very motivated by: Jolly Ranchers, lollipops, and fruit snacks. These are often prizes given out for good behavior, effort, or fun trivia questions to enrich their mind during downtime!
